对不起，我是警察 Sorry, I’m a policeman.

长大后才知道

警察的世界里没有下班

百姓的安全感是警察24小时的工作换来的

Now I know policeman work around the clock

to guarantee safety of the people and the society.

幻想着自己有一天

拔出手枪抵着犯罪分子的头颅

用低沉而富有磁性的声音说出那句

“对不起，我是警察”

I once thought one dayI could

put a gun against the head of criminals

and told them in deep voice:

sorry, I’m a policeman.

而现实中的警察面对犯罪分子

怀里掏出过期的辣椒水

又从裤腰里

拿出那根伸缩的不太利索的警棍

But in reality, when facing with criminals,

what policemen use are overdue OC

and old-fashioned baton.

而在成都

有一位从事刑侦工作十年

却戏称自己是一名“非典型”的刑警

当“硬汉”脱下警服

他的另外一个身份却天差地别

This Chengdu policeman has worked

as a criminal police for a decade.

But he calls himself an atypical criminal police

because he is a totally different person off duty.

赵丁，是一名刑警，他头顶国徽，担负着社会安宁，不管再苦再累，但是当案件侦破的那一天的话，这永远是一个刑警最有成就感的一天。

Criminal police Zhao Ding safeguards safety of the people and the society. He is committed to his work which is symbolized by the national emblem in front of his police hat. His sense of fulfillment comes from solving a criminal case.

他选择警察这个职业，从小有一颗惩恶扬善的心，再加上以前喜欢看侦探小说，所以到大学的时候学了侦察学的专业。大学毕业以后，先到四川司法警官职业学院当了一名教师，再后来投入到一线的工作中去。

He became a policeman because he dreamed to praise virtue and punish vice as a child and because he was a fan of detective stories. So he studied the science of investigation in college. Upon graduation, he became a teacher at Sichuan Judicial and Police Officers Professional College before he worked as a criminal police.

案件的侦破感觉好像是威风，前期要做大量的基础工作，包括一些数据分析，包括走访，不放过所有的细节。有时候线索可能会中断，这个时候就要求警察有一个信念，第二个就是要求足够的细心。

It feels good to solve a case. But there are a lot to do in the early stage including data analysis and interviewing for details. Sometimes when a lead leads to nothing, all we have to is to have faith and be patient.

一次出差的机缘巧合，赵丁接触到了帆船，逐渐地喜欢上了。他认为利用大自然的馈赠，人和自然在船上面，和自然相傍，这样一个过程是很好的一个减压的方式。

Zhao Ding had his first experience of sailing boat by chance on a business trip and became hooked ever since. He thought it’s a good way to get rid of pressure by sailing a boat in nature and to enjoy nature. It’s a gift from the nature.

作为一个土生土长的成都人来说，在这座城市能够实现自己的梦想，这就是幸福的。
